For travel fanatics, it can be essential to find cheap flights in order to save money. There are a variety of methods that will allow you to acquire cheap flights, the best of which are mentioned below.

Use Skyscanner

Skyscanner is probably one of the most essential tools online in finding cheap flights. The flight search engine can be used for a variety of things, including finding the cheapest days to travel, finding the cheapest places to fly, and showing you all of the different travel and price options available.

The skyscanner search engine has a variety of different options you can choose, ranging from your top airline choices, departure and arrival times, price points, layover times and more.

If you have already chosen a destination, finding the cheapest day to travel there is easy with skyscanner. Go to the search engine, enter your departure and arrival cities, and instead of picking a specific date, select the whole month, and the website will then show you the cheapest prices throughout the month, allowing you to find a flight for a bargain.

If you are open ended about where you would like to travel, enter your departure airport into skyscanner and approximate dates, and instead of choosing an arrival airport choose the “anywhere” option instead. This will allow you to see the cheapest places to fly worldwide for your selected dates.

If you already know the location exact dates you would like for your trip, entering the details into skyscanner’s search engine will show you all of your travel options. This will allow you to pick the option that most suits your price range, time constraints and airline preferences.  


 

Search for Flights on Incognito Mode

If you search for a flight frequently, algorithms on airline websites will make note of your searches, and you may see a surge in prices.

Incognito mode on chrome, or similar modes on other browsers allow you to hide your searches so that this doesn’t happen, and when you book your flight the price will be the same as it originally was, without influence from algorithms tracking your searches.  


 

Fly with Budget Airlines

Although some feel that flying with budget airlines is too big of a sacrifice of comfort, they can be a great way to cut down costs. On budget airlines you have to pay for many services offered on regular airlines, such as drink and a snack, as well as less leg room.

The price cuts these flights offer make these sacrifices worth it however, if you are looking to travel on a budget.

Overall, using skyscanner, incognito mode and flying with budget airlines are three of the most important steps you must take in order to find an affordable flight. Using these tools will allow you to travel for cheaper, and be able to spend more of your budget in the destination of your choice, rather than splurging on an expensive flight.
